Asset Management (Funds) Associate (1-5 PQE) - London - Elite US Law Firm

An outstanding opportunity for an Asset Management (Funds) Associate (1-5 PQE) to join the market-leading Funds practice of a prestigious US law firm in London.

The team advises some of the world's most sophisticated global investors, fund sponsors and asset managers across a broad range of alternative investment strategies, including private equity, growth equity, venture capital, credit and direct lending, real estate, infrastructure, energy and renewables, secondaries and special situations.

The successful candidate will play a key role in advising on the structuring, formation, documentation and ongoing management of investment funds across multiple jurisdictions, whilst working closely with highly regarded partners in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

This position offers exposure to some of the most sophisticated fund products in the market and represents an exceptional platform for long-term career progression.

The Role:

  • Advising fund sponsors on the formation, structuring and launch of private investment funds across a variety of asset classes
  • Supporting clients on ongoing fund operations, governance matters and asset management issues
  • Drafting and negotiating fund documentation, constitutional documents and investor agreements
  • Advising on regulatory requirements and cross-border fund structures
  • Working on private equity, venture capital, credit, real estate, infrastructure and energy fund products
  • Collaborating with colleagues across tax, regulatory, finance and corporate teams on complex transactions
  • Managing client relationships and supporting business development initiatives within the funds sector

The Candidate:

  • England & Wales qualified Solicitor with 1-5 years' PQE
  • Strong fund formation and asset management experience
  • Experience advising sponsors, investment managers or institutional investors on private funds matters
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with strong technical ability
  • Commercially minded with a keen interest in alternative asset management
  • Strong academic credentials and attention to detail
  • Experience gained within a leading City, international, US or top-tier commercial law firm
