Morgan Asset Management, you will serve as a key liaison between our investment platform and insurance company clients. Working closely with portfolio managers, client advisors, and insurance investors, you will help translate complex investment strategies, market developments, and regulatory considerations into actionable insights for clients.

You will develop deep expertise in insurance investment solutions and understand regulatory capital frameworks. The role focuses on servicing existing insurance client relationships, supporting new business opportunities, and helping clients navigate evolving market, regulatory, and accounting considerations. Success in this role requires strong fixed income expertise, a thorough understanding of the insurance industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality analysis in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Service insurance company and pension clients throughout the investment lifecycle, including business development support, onboarding, portfolio reviews, reporting, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Analyse portfolio positioning, risk, performance attribution, capital efficiency, and asset allocation outcomes to support insurance client discussions and investment decision-making.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in insurance investment management, including Solvency II, insurance accounting frameworks (IFRS 9 and IFRS 17), regulatory capital considerations, and insurer balance sheet management.
  • Build and maintain expertise on market developments affecting insurance investors, including Matching Adjustment portfolios, Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA) transactions, funded and unfunded reinsurance solutions, asset-intensive reinsurance, pension risk transfer activity, and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain high-quality client presentations, strategy materials, portfolio reviews, performance commentary, market insights, RFP responses, DDQs, and thought leadership content tailored to insurance investors.
  • Respond to ad hoc client requests and customised portfolio analyses, including capital efficiency assessments, regulatory reporting requirements, ALM considerations, and liability-aware investment solutions.
  • Support new business opportunities by coordinating pitch materials, RFPs, portfolio proposals, and insurance-specific investment solutions across public and private markets.
  • Facilitate external and internal meetings, including client reviews, strategy discussions, consultant meetings, and insurance industry conferences.
  • Monitor insurance market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor positioning to help inform business strategy and client engagement.
  • Contribute to strategic projects, process improvements, and automation initiatives that enhance scalability and client service efficiency.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
