This role is specifically focused on wastewater. Applicants should be able to demonstrate meaningful exposure to wastewater operations, treatment, networks, monitoring or compliance.

Desirable

Experience in one or more of the following would be beneficial, but is not essential:

• MCERTS, Event Duration Monitoring (EDM) or another regulated monitoring environment.
• Wastewater flow, spill or continuous water-quality monitoring.
• Flow measurement, calibration or instrument maintenance.
• Wastewater process engineering.
• Operational or time-series data analysis.
• Quality, environmental or instrumentation management systems.
• Regulatory reporting, technical assurance or auditing.
• Root-cause analysis and compliance investigation.
• Instrumentation asset planning or lifecycle management.
• Development of standards, procedures or technical training.

Experience of visiting operational sites and working safely in site environments; this is beneficial rather than essential, and appropriate training will be provided.

We are interested in your ability to reason with data, not simply your experience with a particular software package.

Qualifications

You are likely to have a degree, apprenticeship or equivalent professional experience in instrumentation, engineering, water or wastewater, environmental science, data analytics, asset management or a related discipline.

• Professional registration, or a commitment to work towards it, would be welcomed but is not essential. We will actively support you through mentoring, guidance and relevant development opportunities.

We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation, curiosity and the willingness to develop expertise in an increasingly important area of the water industry. We equally value practical experience and recognise that strong capability can be developed through different career routes.
