Asset Manager

We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded Asset Manager to play a pivotal role in protecting and enhancing a major acute healthcare estate. Working across King's Mill, Mansfield Community and Newark Hospitals, you'll lead the planning and delivery of asset investment programmes while ensuring compliance, value, and long-term asset performance.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the development and delivery of lifecycle investment plans, ensuring assets remain safe, compliant, efficient, and fit for purpose throughout their lifecycle.
  • Manage a varied portfolio of lifecycle, variation, rectification, and small works projects from concept through to successful completion and handover.
  • Translate asset data, condition surveys, contractual obligations, and operational priorities into practical investment strategies and deliverable work programmes.
  • Provide robust technical, commercial, and contractual challenge to contractor, consultant, and service provider proposals, driving value for money and effective risk management.
  • Oversee surveys, technical investigations, option appraisals, designs, and assurance activities, ensuring decisions are evidence-based and aligned to business objectives.
  • Monitor programme performance, budgets, risks, dependencies, and approvals, providing clear reporting and recommendations to senior leaders and governance boards.
  • Ensure all completed projects achieve a fully compliant handover, including certification, asset information, O&M manuals, warranties, drawings, and CAFM updates.
  • Build strong relationships with NHS Trust stakeholders, FM providers, contractors, and advisors, leading collaborative problem-solving while safeguarding Project Co's contractual interests.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
