Asset Manager - 9 Month Contract
Here at Retirement Villages Group, we are looking for an analytically minded and commercially focused Asset Manager to join our Asset Management team on an initial 9 month contract.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Asset Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the performance and optimisation of our portfolio of retirement villages. This is a varied role with exposure across asset management, development, commercial leasing, financial analysis, and strategic projects.
Working closely with teams across Finance, Sales, Operations, Development, Legal, and our Villages, you will help identify opportunities to drive value, improve performance, and support key commercial decisions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the delivery of RVG's asset management strategy across our retirement village portfolio
- Acting as the property lead for Asset Business Plans, working with key stakeholders to support informed commercial decision-making
- Coordinating lease transition initiatives, including business cases, financial models, project plans, risk registers, and reporting
- Monitoring our buyback programme, providing clear reporting on stock levels, financial exposure, sales status, ageing, pricing, risks, and action plans
- Supporting commercial leasing activity, including leasing strategies, heads of terms, marketing information, commercial negotiations, and the appointment of external advisers
- Supporting prospective and live development projects, including maintaining appraisals, monitoring budgets and spend, coordinating planning and consent activities, and managing stakeholder relationships
- Supporting acquisition, disposal, redevelopment, leasing, and other strategic property projects as required
- Building strong relationships across Finance, Sales, Operations, Legal, Development, and Property teams
- Preparing concise and commercially focused reporting for senior management, Executive, and Board audiences
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes, reporting, and governance across the Asset Management function

What We're Looking For

- Around 3 to 5 years' experience in a relevant asset management, property, development, commercial property, or real estate role
- Strong commercial and financial analysis skills, with advanced Excel capability
- Experience of working with financial models, business cases, budgets, and commercial reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to turn complex information into clear recommendations and actions
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to work across multiple teams and projects
- The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of initiatives
- Knowledge of commercial leasing and lease management would be advantageous
- A collaborative, proactive, and commercially curious approach
