Asset Manager - Solar PV (9-Month Contract)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join a leading renewable energy business on a 9-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Solar PV assets located across Italy, including both operational projects and projects currently under construction.
Based in London, this role will act as the key commercial and operational interface between internal stakeholders, project partners, O&M providers, contractors, lenders and local service providers, ensuring the assets achieve optimal performance and compliance throughout the asset lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of Solar PV assets across Italy, including operational and construction-phase projects.
- Monitor technical, operational and financial performance of assets against budget and business plan targets.
- Coordinate with EPC contractors, O&M providers, consultants and local stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery and operational excellence.
- Review asset performance, availability, production and contractual KPIs.
- Support construction-to-operations handovers and commissioning activities.
- Manage budgets, forecasts and financial reporting for assigned assets.
- Oversee contractual compliance, permits, grid connection obligations and regulatory requirements.
- Identify optimisation opportunities to maximise asset value and performance.
- Prepare and present asset performance reports to senior management and investors.
- Manage risk registers and support resolution of technical, operational and commercial issues.

Requirements
- Proven experience in Solar PV Asset Management.
- Strong understanding of both operational assets and projects under construction.
- Experience managing renewable energy assets in Italy.
- Fluent Italian and English communication skills (essential).
- Strong knowledge of asset management, project finance structures and operational performance metrics.
- Experience working with EPC, O&M and other key project stakeholders.
- Excellent stakeholder management and reporting skills.
- Ability to work from London and manage international assets effectively.

Preferred
- Degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Finance, Business or related field.
- Experience within IPP, infrastructure fund, utility or renewable energy developer environment.
- Knowledge of Italian renewable energy regulations and market dynamics.
