Asset Planner | CP Tolling

Location: Manchester
Working Hours: 2 days onsite after initial training period
Rate: 20.21 per hour
Contract length: 12 months

Role purpose

To create and maintain the overall Formulation, Fill & Pack (FF&P) production plan at Toller(s), third-party manufacturing plant(s), providing options to manage variances in demand and supply.

  • Execute order processing in SAP to fulfil agreed production plans.
  • Order and schedule all raw materials, packaging and labels under our clients ownership for delivery to designated Toller locations in time to meet the production plan.
  • Coordinate the supply chain to achieve ex-works shipment dates required by the customer.

Key accountabilities

  • Create and maintain a balanced production plan for the assigned Toller asset(s) over the current season, with a planning horizon of up to 12 months. Work with the Supply Chain Planner (SCP) to balance manufacturing responsiveness, cost efficiency and inventory.
  • Facilitate resolution of Toller capacity issues with the appropriate SCP; maintain the plan accordingly and escalate where necessary to the Toll Production Manager (TPM).
  • Support SCPs in developing Tactical Supply Plans (TSPs) and execute agreed TSPs.
  • Provide regular forecasts to suppliers and place purchase orders for raw materials to ensure availability at the Toller in time for production.
  • Optimise Toller inventory of components and formulated bulks to minimise working capital.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Tollers, enabling transparency and responsiveness; act as the key operational contact for the Toller.
  • Manage the weekly Production Liaison meeting with the Toller and TPM. Report production performance, including Conformance to Plan, and KPIs relating to stock accuracy, HSE and Quality.
  • Maintain Toller SAP master data, including efficient introduction and removal of products (SKUs) in line with the Range Management Process.
  • Ensure processes operate in accordance with MRPII philosophies and principles.
  • Liaise with the Toller and logistics provider to support inbound and outbound delivery scheduling as required for production.
  • Collect and input data for weekly and monthly KPI reporting.
  • Ensure consumption of slow- and no-moving materials.
  • Clear blocked invoices relating to quantity discrepancies.
  • Work with Procurement to expedite delayed or late deliveries.
  • Participate in project work within a team-based culture to develop sustainable business-process improvements.

Critical knowledge

  • Full understanding of SAP S/4 HANA Planning tools and MRP data.
  • MS Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.

Critical experience

  • Experience working in a materials or production planning environment.

Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities

  • Understanding of ERP tools, specifically SAP S/4 HANA and APO.
  • Understanding of SAP master-data structure relevant to purchase-order creation.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of other European languages is an advantage.
