Asset Servicing Operations Analyst
JP Morgan
Location: Bournemouth
Duration: Initially until end of December 2026
Working pattern: 4 days onsite / 1 day WFH
We are seeking a number of experienced Asset Servicing Operations professionals to join a newly established Complex Custody Reconciliation capability at JP Morgan in Bournemouth initially until the end of the year.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience across Asset Servicing, Corporate Actions, Reconciliations, Settlements or similar investment operations functions who enjoys investigating complex issues and driving them through to resolution.
The role is not focused purely on day-to-day reconciliation processing. You will take ownership of complex custody breaks, investigating root causes, working with relevant stakeholders and ensuring issues are properly resolved, evidenced and closed.
What you'll be doing
- Investigating and managing complex custody reconciliation breaks, including triage, root-cause analysis and prioritisation.
- Identifying the appropriate resolution path for each issue and documenting required actions, dependencies and stakeholders.
- Taking ownership of issues through to resolution and closure, coordinating with Operations, Product, Technology and Control teams.
- Investigating discrepancies across custody and asset servicing processes and identifying opportunities to reduce operational risk.
- Reviewing and strengthening manual controls, identifying improvements to accuracy, efficiency and risk management.
- Maintaining clear records of outstanding issues, progress, financial impact and remediation status.
- Preparing senior-management reporting, including progress updates, book-of-work tracking and risk/issue reporting.
- Escalating risks and blockers appropriately and providing clear recommendations for resolution.
- Ensuring all activity is completed within the required control framework and supported by appropriate evidence.

What we're looking for
The most important requirement is Asset Servicing experience within financial services.
You could come from a range of relevant backgrounds, including
- Asset Servicing
- Corporate Actions
- Custody Reconciliations
- Settlements
- Investment Operations
- Custody Operations
- Or a closely related investment banking operations function.
We're particularly interested in candidates who have experience investigating breaks, discrepancies or operational issues, rather than simply processing high volumes of routine transactions.

You'll ideally be someone who can
- Analyse complex problems and identify root causes.
- Take ownership of an issue and drive it through to resolution.
- Work confidently across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Understand operational risk, controls and the importance of robust evidence.
- Manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
- Communicate clearly with both operational teams and senior management.
- Use Excel, PowerPoint and Word confidently to analyse information and produce clear management reporting.
