Role Purpose
Lead the strategy, prioritization, and delivery of product initiatives that span multiple Asset Servicing product pillars, including Transfer Agency, Fund Services, Custody, Alternatives, and ETF Servicing. Translate enterprise and client needs into integrated, scalable solutions, aligning product leaders around a common strategy and roadmap and delivering commercial, client, operational, and risk outcomes across the end-to-end service model.
Role Overview
The Asset Servicing Product Cross-Functional Head is accountable for complex product opportunities and strategic initiatives requiring an integrated response across multiple Asset Servicing pillars. Working in partnership with Asset Servicing Product Leaders across Transfer Agency, Fund Services, Custody, Alternatives, and ETF Servicing, the role will bring capabilities from different product areas together to establish the cross-pillar vision, business case, delivery model, and governance required to move initiatives from concept through implementation and ongoing value realization.
This is a senior product leadership role requiring broad Asset Servicing expertise, strong commercial judgment, and the ability to lead through influence across Product, Technology, Service Delivery, Client Management, Sales, Finance, Risk, Legal, and Compliance. The role will identify and resolve competing priorities, manage interdependencies, and ensure that integrated solutions deliver a consistent client experience while making effective use of common platforms, data, and operating capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Cross-Pillar Product Strategy and Portfolio Leadership
- Identify opportunities where an integrated response across two or more product pillars can create greater client, commercial, or operational value than separate pillar-led solutions.
- Develop and maintain a cross-pillar product portfolio and roadmap, balancing strategic priorities, client commitments, regulatory requirements, investment capacity, and execution risk.
- Partner with Product Leaders to establish clear accountability between individual product pillars and cross-functional initiatives.
- Provide enterprise-level direction and intervention where required to resolve dependencies, competing priorities, or strategic decisions.
- Ensure that cross-pillar initiatives remain aligned to the broader Asset Servicing product strategy and business objectives.
Product Development and Program Execution
- Lead multidisciplinary teams through the full product lifecycle, from discovery and design through approval, implementation, launch, adoption, and post-implementation review.
- Establish appropriate governance across product pillars, including decision rights, executive sponsorship, funding, dependency management, risk escalation, and transparent reporting.
- Develop robust business cases and delivery plans, ensuring initiatives have clearly defined objectives, outcomes, investment requirements, and measures of success.
- Drive effective execution across business, operations, and technology, ensuring that key dependencies and delivery risks are identified and actively managed.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
