Join ISS and help shape the future of asset management
ISS is looking for 8 Asset Surveyors to support a major project, carrying out detailed MEP and building fabric asset surveys across England. This is an excellent opportunity for established Asset Surveyors, or Mobile Engineers looking to transition into surveying, to join a leading organisation and gain valuable experience within the growing field of asset management.
Working as part of a specialist team, you'll be responsible for collecting, validating and managing asset information to support long-term maintenance planning and asset lifecycle management.
This is a mobile role covering sites across England.
What you'll be doing
- Carry out detailed mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) and building fabric asset surveys using digital data capture systems.
- Capture, verify and classify asset data in accordance with Uniclass 2015 standards.
- Ensure asset information, metadata and survey records are completed accurately and consistently.
- Validate asset information against approved asset tagging strategies.
- Verify asset specifications, accessibility, operational status and equipment completeness.
- Identify missing, duplicate, obsolete, incorrectly coded or end-of-life assets.
- Record condition, age and performance data to support lifecycle planning.
- Produce clean, accurate and structured asset data outputs.
- Investigate and resolve data anomalies through established governance procedures.
- Maintain full asset traceability through photographs, tagging and location referencing.
- Undertake intrusive inspections where required and identify corrective actions.
- Work in compliance with Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
