Asset Surveyor
Location: Ealing
Working Pattern: Hybrid with regular site travel (approximately 90% field-based)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £50,000
Driving Requirement: Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle essential

At A2Dominion, we're committed to providing safe, sustainable, and high-quality homes for our customers. We're looking for an experienced Asset Surveyor to join our Property Services team and play a vital role in understanding, maintaining, and improving our housing portfolio.
This is an exciting opportunity for a surveying professional who is passionate about property condition assessment, asset management, and driving long-term investment decisions that make a real difference to our customers and communities.
About the Role
As an Asset Surveyor, you will be responsible for carrying out comprehensive stock condition surveys, Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) assessments, and Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) across our housing stock.
The data and insights you collect will directly inform our short, medium, and long-term investment programmes and sustainability strategies, helping us deliver safer, more energy-efficient homes for the future.
Reporting to the Senior Surveyor (Assets), you will work closely with Property Services, Housing Services, and Specialist Housing teams, while building positive relationships with residents and customers across our portfolio.
Key Responsibilities

- Conduct detailed stock condition surveys to assess component age, condition, and lifecycle.
- Undertake HHSRS assessments and identify potential property hazards.
- Produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) in line with statutory requirements.
- Collect, maintain, and analyse accurate asset data to support investment planning and asset management strategies.
- Contribute to the development of 1-year, 5-year, and 30-year investment programmes.
- Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives across the housing portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with housing legislation, building safety requirements, and health and safety standards.
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with residents and stakeholders.

More About You
- Degree qualification (or equivalent experience) in surveying, asset management, building studies, or a related discipline.
- Qualified Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA).
- Experience working within social housing, affordable housing, or mixed-tenure residential environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems, construction types, materials, and their lifecycle maintenance requirements.
- Significant experience in property surveying techniques and methodologies.
- In-depth understanding of Decent Homes Standards and the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS).
- Working knowledge of housing law, leaseholder consultation requirements, building safety legislation, and property management legislation.
- Experience managing residential and/or commercial property portfolios, including complex assets and estates across diverse tenures.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships and collaborate with a range of stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work in an organised and methodical manner, managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in housing and asset management systems, mobile technology, and Microsoft Office applications.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement, with the ability to adapt to change and embrace new ways of working.
- Membership of a professional body such as RICS, CIOB, MCIOB, or equivalent (desirable).
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, with the ability to travel regularly across London, Staines, Winchester, and Oxford.
