We have an exciting opportunity with a Housing Association based in the East Midlands, with flexibility to travel further North as required, who are recruiting for an Asset Surveyor on a temporary three month contract.

The position is due to start immediately, and the daily rate of pay is £300 via an umbrella company.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Relevant building/trade qualification
  • Proven property surveying and contractor management experience
  • Excellent communication and IT skills
  • Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle

Duties:

  • Conducting property, stock condition, and validation surveys, identifying defects, and specifying remedial action
  • Preparing specifications, schedules, and programmes, managing works from inception through to completion
  • Managing contractors and partners, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, to specification, and within budget
  • Monitoring budgets, costs, and works progress, maintaining accurate project and completion records
  • Ensuring compliance with H&S, Asbestos, CDM, and Group policies while delivering a proactive, customer-focused service

Experience Required:

  • Experience conducting property and stock condition surveys, identifying defects, and specifying remedial works
  • Proven ability to manage contractors, programmes, and budgets, including challenging performance where required
  • Relevant building/trade experience

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise Required:

  • Strong property surveying and building knowledge, including defect identification and stock condition surveys
  • Proven project and contractor management skills, including programmes, budgets, and compliance
  • Excellent communication, organization, and IT skills, with knowledge of H&S, Asbestos, CDM, EPC, and HHSRS

Qualifications Required:

  • Relevant building or trade experience (Essential)
  • HHSRS qualification (Desirable)

Working Hours:

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday
