Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Asset Surveyor to undertake comprehensive M&E asset capture and condition surveys across an operational estate. The successful candidate will be responsible for asset verification, tagging, data collection, and the development of accurate asset registers covering mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
This role would suit an experienced M&E surveying professional with a strong asset management background and a practical understanding of operational building services environments.

- Carry out detailed surveys of existing mechanical, electrical, and HVAC plant and equipment.
- Asset tagging and verification of technical systems and infrastructure.
- Capture and record asset information including asset type, condition, age, and technical specifications.
- Develop and maintain asset registers, ensuring accurate SFG coding and classification.
- Assess heating, ventilation, and associated building services installations.
- Support lifecycle planning and asset management initiatives through robust data collection.
- Identify statutory maintenance and compliance requirements relating to surveyed assets.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience undertaking M&E asset surveys and asset capture projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services systems.
- Good working knowledge of heating and ventilation installations.
- Experience creating and managing M&E asset registers, including SFG coding.
- Facilities Management (FM) background with experience managing M&E assets.
- Sound understanding of statutory maintenance obligations and compliance requirements.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with experience handling large volumes of asset data.
- Ability to work independently on-site and deliver accurate survey outputs.
- Based locally to Shrewsbury or within a commutable distance is highly desirable due to the significant on-site requirement.
