Role Description
The Assistant role at Amber Bakery is a full-time, on-site position based in Peterborough. The Assistant supports daily bakery operations, including helping with preparation of ingredients, organizing supplies, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. Responsibilities may include:

The role involves close collaboration with bakers and other team members to meet production schedules and quality standards. The Assistant is expected to follow established procedures, adhere to food safety guidelines, and contribute to a positive, efficient working environment.
Qualifications
- Ability to follow instructions, learn processes quickly, and support production tasks with attention to detail.
- Strong organization skills, including managing supplies, assisting with inventory, and keeping work areas orderly.
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices, or willingness to complete training in these areas.
- Reliable time management skills, with the ability to work full-time shifts and meet daily production deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within a small team environment.
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and handle moderate lifting as part of bakery operations.
- Previous experience in food production, retail, or a bakery setting is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Willingness to uphold Amber Bakery’s quality standards and interest in artisan and traditional bakery products.
