Job Title: Assistant Accommodation Manager

Location: Parham Student Village

Reporting to: General Manager

Summary

The Assistant Accommodation Manager will support the General Manager with the daily operational, administrative, and customer service functions of Parham Student Village, ensuring a high-quality living experience for residents and the effective running of all accommodation services.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day operations including maintenance coordination, security oversight, cleaning standards, and front-line customer service.
  • Assist in ensuring health & safety, fire safety, and all regulatory and compliance requirements are adhered to.
  • Help manage resident relations, responding to enquiries, resolving issues, and supporting a positive residential environment.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and follow up on required repairs or improvements.
  • Support occupancy management, including check-ins, check-outs, tenancy queries, and administrative processes.
  • Assist with marketing and engagement activities aimed at maintaining high occupancy levels.
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and service partners as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and operational documentation.
  • Contribute to budget monitoring and cost-control processes.
  • Provide operational cover in the absence of the General Manager.

  • Experience in student accommodation, residential property management, or a similar operational environment.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • Well-organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Understanding of health & safety and property compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with property management systems desirable.
  • Flexible approach, with occasional evening or weekend work required.

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.
