The Role – Assistant Account Handler
Our team at St Giles in Liverpool are looking for an Assistant Account Handler to join their growing team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting Account Handlers/Executives with day-to-day servicing of a portfolio of clients.
- Preparing and processing new business, renewals, and mid-term changes, including obtaining quotations and checking all policy documentation.
- Maintaining accurate systems and records (files, computer entries, diaries/tasks), handling routine enquiries, and liaising with insurers and other third parties while working to strict timescales.
- Committing to continual professional development, expanding product and technical knowledge, and proactively identify, report, and help resolve breaches, complaints, E&O issues, and QA actions.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience within an administrative, customer service, or support role, ideally within insurance, financial, or professional services.
- Confident in handling client queries by phone and email, building good relationships, and working accurately with data and documents.
- A diligent individual with a strong work ethic, used to working to deadlines, managing multiple tasks in a busy team, and proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Any previous experience within the insurance industry/regulated environment is highly advantageous but not essential for this role.

- A salary of up to £28,000 depending on experience.
