We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting, delivering accurate month-end processes, and supporting continuous improvement across operational accounting activities.
This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working collaboratively, solving problems, and driving efficiencies in a fast-paced international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete month-end close activities accurately and on time, escalating issues where appropriate.
- Prepare and post journals, including accruals, prepayments, cash and accounting adjustments.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding discrepancies.
- Maintain fixed asset registers, ensuring accurate accounting for additions, disposals and depreciation.
- Support tax and statutory reporting requirements, including VAT, corporate tax and other local filings.
- Provide timely support during internal and external audits.
- Prepare regulatory and statistical submissions.
- Assist Accounting Managers with day-to-day accounting activities and financial reporting.
- Analyse financial data and prepare standard reports to support business decision-making.
- Contribute to process improvements and the enhancement of accounting controls and reconciliation processes.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, controls, regulations and best practice.

AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA -or- previous experience in an Accounting, Finance or similar field.
- Strong understanding of month-end accounting processes, journals, accruals, reconciliations and strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of fixed assets accounting, tax reporting and audit support.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, while communicating clearly and effectively with all team members.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and using SAP, BlackLine or similar systems.
- Knowledge of internal controls and compliance requirements.
