We are partnering with a well-established events business delivering high-quality experiences, to recruit a proactive Assistant Accountant.
This role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, event finance, and operational support, making it well-suited to someone looking to develop their career in a dynamic environment.
You will contribute to the accuracy of financial information, support key processes such as month-end, and work closely with operational teams to ensure financial performance is effectively monitored.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable and receivable processes, including billing, credit control, and reconciliations.
- Manage daily banking, treasury, and intra-group reconciliations.
- Support month-end close, management accounts, forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Assist with statutory accounts, audit, and Group reporting.
- Liaise with internal teams to resolve financial queries and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
- Support HR administration, including absence and employee benefits.

Candidate Profile
- Part-qualified (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) or actively studying
- Strong understanding of core accounting principles
- Previous experience in a fast-paced or project-based environment is desirable
- Proficient in Excel and familiar with accounting systems
- Strong attention to detail with good analytical skills
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities
