Assistant Accountant
Location: Leeds
Working Hours: 2 days a week (Tues/Wed)

At Manheim Vehicle Services (MVS), we're looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our growing finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure across a diverse business, develop your accounting skills, and play a key role in supporting financial operations within one of the UK's leading automotive service providers.

What You'll Be Doing
In this role, you'll support the financial management of the business, helping to ensure accurate reporting and effective financial controls. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and processing sales invoicing
- Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations
- Supporting month-end reporting activities
- Managing cash allocation and account reconciliations
- Investigating and resolving customer invoice queries
- Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting credit control and cash collection activities
- Working closely with operational teams to ensure accurate financial data and billing

About You
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in a finance, accounts, or bookkeeping environment
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business
- A proactive, positive approach and willingness to learn
- AAT qualification or studying towards an accounting qualification would be advantageous, but not essential as we will provide study support in the future for the right candidate
