Assistant Accountant

£28,000 - £35,000 + benefits & Study Support
A leading professional services business based in Bournemouth is seeking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accounting professional who is looking to develop their career in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage accounts for limited companies.
- Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts.
- Prepare and support corporate tax computations and returns.
- Assist with personal tax returns and related compliance work.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Liaise with clients to obtain financial information and respond to queries.
- Support senior accountants with year-end accounts, tax planning, and other accounting assignments as required.

About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Studying / Part-qualified ACCA (or equivalent).
- Experience preparing accounts for limited companies.
- Knowledge of both corporate tax and personal tax.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good communication skills with the ability to build positive client relationships.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
