At Marshall Volkswagen Taunton, we’re offering an exciting opportunity for a confident and Assistant Accountant to join one of the UK’s most trusted and innovative car brands.
In this role:
This is a role where you will work closely with the Dealership Management Accountant and the Head of Business. You will be making a real difference to operational performance while ensuring all financial control and accounting processes are in place.
Your focus will be around the day to day oversee of the financial health of the Volkswagen site, in addition to these duties, you will be required to assist with balance sheet control and risk/audit management, along with ensuring inventory checks meet internal requirements, managing working capital and on-going cost reviews. We offer ongoing on-site training/leadership & support.

You will work as part of the dealership finance & admin team, and also as a part of our retail finance division and will work to support the dealerships with day to day financial reporting and management. Offered on a full-time basis, this role reports to the Dealership Management Accountant.
We're looking for:
We are looking to speak to you if you are currently in an Assistant Accountant position or an Accounts Assistant with demonstrable experience and a proven understanding of the role and the day to day function within accounts. You will be happy to self-manage your workload and time, and enjoy working in fast paced environment, to time deadlines where you will be part of a supportive and friendly team. Current or previous Automotive experience is desirable.
