Assistant Accountant

(3 days in the office, 4 during month end period)

Our client, a leading organisation within the Infrastructure and Engineering sector, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join a busy finance team in Lancashire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an Accountancy degree or AAT qualification or someone who is part qualified CIMA / ACCA who is keen to gain hands-on experience across financial reporting, management accounts and business partnering while developing towards a professional accounting qualification.

The Role

As an Assistant Accountant, you’ll provide valuable financial support across the business, helping to ensure accurate financial reporting and strong financial controls. Working closely with experienced Finance Business Partners, you’ll gain exposure to a broad range of accounting activities and develop your commercial finance knowledge.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
