About the Role
We're looking for a detail-driven and proactive Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic finance team within a fast‑growing and ambitious business.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop professionally, broaden your experience, and make a meaningful impact within a supportive and fast‑paced environment.
What you'll do
This is a varied and interesting role; you'll work closely with the Management Accountant to provide high-quality financial information and support across all YTL Land & Property entities, including those linked to our fantastic new town development, Brabazon in North Bristol.
This is a fantastic opportunity to have exposure to a wide range of businesses across the Construction and Real Estate sectors which continue to grow at pace! This means you'll need to be adaptable, comfortable with change, willing to learn and contribute and capable of taking ownership as the business continues to evolve.
Your work will ensure smooth financial operations, consistent alignment with YTL UK Group policies, and accurate performance reporting across the group. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and collaborate with senior members across finance and operations.
In this varied and hands-on role, you will:
- Support the preparation of monthly accounts and end-of-month reporting
- Assist with the production of financial reports and analysis across the group
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain and take ownership of key reconciliations
- Provide financial insights to support business decision‑making
- Develop an understanding of intergroup billing arrangements and associated complexities
- Assist with intercompany postings, invoicing, and reconciliations
- Support the preparation of VAT returns
- Respond to external auditor requests in a timely and professional manner
- Contribute to external reporting requirements
- Provide other ad‑hoc financial support for the team

What you'll need
- Ideally part-qualified CIMA or ACCA or demonstrable equivalent experience
- Previous experience in management accounts
- A confident and professional manner
- Positive, proactive mindset with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved
- Fast and accurate keyboard skills
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications, particularly Excel
- A team player, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
