We're supporting a highly regarded financial services firm in their search for an Assistant Accountant to join a growing finance team. This position is ideal for someone with Accounts Payable experience who wants to build a broader accounting skillset and gain exposure to reporting, reconciliations, and month-end activities. While Accounts Payable sits at the heart of the role, you'll also have the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of finance responsibilities, making it an excellent stepping stone for someone looking to progress their career within accounting.

Responsibilities
- Managing the Accounts Payable process and ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and efficiently
- Supporting Accounts Receivable invoicing and debtor reporting
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments
- Maintaining fixed asset records
- Producing regular financial reports
- Supporting internal and external audit requirements

About You
- Previous Accounts Payable experience is essential
- Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Well organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
