Assistant Accountant | Investment Management | £35,000 - £45,000 | London / Hybrid (4 days in office)
We are collaborating with an established investment firm that is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join its team.
Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will support the accurate and timely delivery of financial information. They are looking for a collaborative individual who is comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders.
Your role:
- Accounts payable & receivable management including processing of supplier invoices and entering payments to online banking platforms
- Managing profit & loss ledgers, balance sheet and control accounts
- Preparing quarterly management accounts and reconciliations
- Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Involvement in the preparation of annual financial statements
- Liaising with HMRC and other statutory bodies as and when required
- Continuous review of accounting procedures

Your skills & qualifications:
- Studying towards an accountancy qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 2 years finance experience (ideally within Investment Management or Financial Services)
- Great interpersonal skills for communicating with team members and stakeholders
- Strong Excel skills and double-entry bookkeeping knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
