Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Hours: 37 per week

Location: Hereford (Hybrid)

Salary: Hoople Band C £27,427 - £34,456 per annum

Contract: Fixed Term for 12 months

Closing Date: 20th September 2026


The Management Accountants team focus on providing accurate financial information to services in Hoople & Herefordshire Council.

We are looking for an additional temporary team member, to help strengthen the team and support us to provide an efficient service to budget managers.

You will need to have a passion for working with the business to provide robust financial data, provide challenge and bring solutions to financial issues. In return the post will provide a varied role with opportunities to learn and develop.

We are looking for someone with finance experience and an AAT qualification.
