We are partnering with a fast-growing retail business to recruit an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join their finance team in London in a hybrid model. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a dynamic and supportive environment while gaining broad exposure across management accounts and financial reporting while still involved in the day-to-day finance duties. This role will offer valuable hands-on experience across month-end processes, reconciliations, financial analysis, and wider finance projects, providing a strong platform for career development.

The Role

  • Assisting with the preparation of management accounts for budget holders
  • Reviewing and analysing financial information to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Supporting monthly and year-end reporting processes
  • Reconciling sales reports and balance sheets
  • Carrying out daily accounting tasks, including bank reconciliations and payment runs
  • Assisting with ad hoc finance projects and process improvements
  • Supporting the team during external audit processes

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar finance or accounting role and be studying towards either their ACCA or CIMA qualification. The ability to have a high attention to detail, and confidence working with financial data is imperative.
