We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our team!
How You’ll Shine
- Process daily bank reconciliations and other accounting transactions with general ledger entries as directed.
- Maintain the general accruals schedule for all Club locations; updating as and when the monthly invoices are received from suppliers and follow-up on the pending.
- Prepare monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations for review, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of outstanding items.
- Process additions and disposals into the Fixed Assets Register and General Ledger and update the monthly Fixed Assets Clearing Reconciliations.
- Support the month-end close process by preparing schedules and documentation for review.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure supporting documentation is filed appropriately.
- Assist in preparing tax-related documentation and compliance reports (e.g., GST, BAS) under supervision.
- Provide data and administrative support for audits and statutory reporting requirements.
- Assist in ad hoc Finance team related tasks as the business needs arise.
- Liaise with internal departments and external vendors to resolve queries promptly and professionally.
- Contribute to maintaining a strong internal control environment and identify areas for improvement.

What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience preferred; exposure to accounts payable/receivable and reconciliations is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems (experience with Sun System is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and meet deadlines.
