Assistant Management Accountant
Bewdley | Permanent | Full-time | On-site
£35,000 - £40,000
We’re recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a growing business based in Bewdley.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has progressed beyond purely transactional accounts and is now looking for a broader role with greater involvement in month-end, management accounts, and financial reporting.
Working closely with the senior finance team, you’ll take responsibility for a varied range of accounting activities including:

- Assisting with monthly management accounts
- Month-end journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Balance sheet and control account reconciliations
- P&L review and variance analysis
- Budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow reporting
- VAT and fixed asset accounting
- Financial analysis and reporting
- Supporting year-end and audit requirements
- Identifying improvements to financial controls and processes
We’re looking for someone currently working at Assistant Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant, or a similar level, who is comfortable getting involved across the finance function and is ready to take on more responsibility.

You may be AAT qualified, studying CIMA/ACCA, or qualified by experience – practical accounting experience and the ability to take ownership are more important than qualification status.
This could be a particularly good move for someone who has gained solid month-end exposure but is looking for the opportunity to broaden their experience and continue progressing within management accounts.
