TV/Film Production Company seeks an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. This role would suit a “hands on” individual who is able to multitask and prioritise their workload. The Assistant Accountant would be diligent, a strong communicator, and able to work on their own initiative. The role would suit candidates who are immediately available to commence employment.
Responsibilities
- Processing monthly journals, accruals, and prepayments.
- Assisting with the preparation of P11Ds.
- Performing reconciliations to seek resolution to accounting errors or inaccuracies.
- Assisting with production accounting.
- Processing purchase invoices and sales invoices and responsibility over AP/AR ledgers.
- Processing credit cards transactions and employee expense claims.
- Processing bank payments and receipts, preparing bank reconciliation.
- Processing intercompany recharges.
- Payments to suppliers.
- Completing VAT returns.
- Assisting Head of Finance with ad hoc tasks.

Requirements

- AAT or equivalent qualification.
- Sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Office - especially Excel.
- Dynamics 365 would be advantageous.
- Media/production sector experience is advantageous, however not essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Hybrid working and would also consider candidates on a reduced hours basis if needed.
