Looking for a role in financial services?

This temporary position in London involves managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) to ensure smooth financial operations and accurate record-keeping.

Client Details

A company based in London within the financial services industry.

Description

  • Manage the end-to-end purchase ledger process, ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain supplier accounts, resolve queries, and support timely payment processing.
  • Process employee expenses and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Raise customer invoices and maintain accurate sales ledger records.
  • Allocate incoming payments and support effective credit control activities.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Assist with cash flow monitoring and treasury-related activities.
  • Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting tasks.
  • Assist with audit requests and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and enhance efficiency within the finance function.
  • Provide support on a range of finance projects and business initiatives as required.

Profile

  • Previous experience in a transactional finance role, with exposure to both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Ideally 3+ years' experience within a finance environment.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and evolving business would be advantageous.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence using accounting or ERP systems; experience with Business Central would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage a varied workload and meet competing deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A positive, team-oriented approach and willingness to support the wider finance function when required.

Job Offer

  • Daily rate equivalent of around £42,000 - £48,000 per annum.
