About the Role

As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the business through its next phase of growth, ensuring financial and operational tasks are carried out effectively and in a timely manner.

Working within a high-volume finance environment, you’ll play a key role across reconciliations, purchase & sales ledger, whilst also gaining valuable exposure to month-end processes and management accounts support. The business can offer genuine long-term development, making this an ideal role for someone looking to progress within Finance and gain valuable experience across all areas.

Role Responsibilities

  • Assisting with month-end processes including journals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets and supporting management accounts preparation as experience develops.
  • Management of aged debtors and credit control – undertaking sales invoicing, chasing overdue payments and maximising cash collection across all customers.
  • Management of aged creditors and supplier payments – reconciling supplier statements, keeping the purchase ledger accurate and up to date and processing payment runs.
  • Bank reconciliations - Completing daily bank reconciliations of multiple bank accounts and investigating discrepancies.
  • Overseeing company expenses – in particular staff company card spend, ensuring all expenditure is authorised, coded and within policy.
  • Dealing with other general ad hoc queries and assisting staff worldwide with day-to-day queries.
  • Support intercompany accounting processes, ensuring balances reconcile correctly and reporting requirements are maintained.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
