Job Title: Assistant Accountant
Harris is one of the leading providers of mission-critical software solutions across the UK and internationally. As part of Constellation Software Inc. (TSX: CSU), one of the world's largest software companies, we continue to grow through innovation and strategic acquisitions.
We're looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our International Finance team. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, you'll play a key role in performing various working capital and/or accounts payable responsibilities as well as month, quarter and year-end closing tasks. We're looking for someone who has progressive accounting experience; strong attention to detail, ability to embrace change, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
What you will do
In performing this exciting role, your key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Building relationships and providing excellent customer service to the business unit
- Accounts receivables tasks include - preparing and issuing sales invoices, and performing order processing tasks to ensure appropriate revenue recognition, establishing scheduling and collecting monies via an established direct debit facility and dealing with customer queries through an online ticketing system.
- Accounts payables tasks include - processing purchase invoices, and creating payment runs
- Preparing various balance sheet reconciliations, including bank and intercompany accounts
- Working capital tasks include – performing credit control activities, and preparing and presenting working capital results to leadership teams
- Assisting with various balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with special ad hoc projects that impact various stakeholders within the organization

What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Good Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a changing environment.
- Comfortable working across multiple financial systems and applications.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
