NHB Recruitment are working alongside this European food and drinks distribution and technology leader, in their search for an Assistant Accountant to join their Group Finance Team.

The key responsibilities include-

  • Support month-end close activities and journal postings
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Support monthly management reporting
  • Process supplier invoices and assist with payment runs
  • Respond to supplier and internal finance queries
  • Raise and process intercompany recharge invoices

We are looking for -

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger or similar finance role.
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Experience of bank reconciliations
  • Processing Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable transactions.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Studying towards an accounting qualification.
