Assistant Accountant - Renfrewshire
HRC Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a successful and growing organisation in Renfrewshire to recruit an Assistant Accountant.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business with a strong reputation, a collaborative culture, and a genuine commitment to employee development. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Process month-end journals, including payroll, accruals and prepayments
- Complete intercompany charges and reconciliations
- Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure records remain accurate
- Assist with budget preparation and monitoring
- Support monthly financial reporting activities
- Provide assistance to the Accounts Payable and Payroll functions as required
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and support continuous improvement initiatives

About You
- Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance role
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Studying towards, or already holding, an accounting qualification would be advantageous
- Strong Excel skills and experience using financial systems
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business
- Professional, organised and keen to learn
- Proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset
