An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands-on Assistant Accountant to join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary professional practice in NW London.
Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the accounts function, with excellent scope for progression.
The Role:
- Support the Financial Controller with the day-to-day running of the accounts department.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts and assist with month-end and year-end reporting.
- Manage sales and purchase ledgers, credit control and outstanding debt queries.
- Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with budgeting, cash-flow monitoring and forecasting.
- Support VAT, payroll and pension requirements.
- Help improve financial processes through technology, automation and AI.
- Take ownership of ad hoc accounting projects and provide general support to the Financial Controller.

Key Requirements:
- Part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or qualified by experience.
- Strong Excel skills with experience using Xero, Sage or similar accounting systems.
- Technically confident, tech-savvy and open to embracing AI and automation.
- Experience within a professional services or service-based environment is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and a hands-on approach.
