We are working with an established organisation in South Cambridge looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant to support the finance function across a range of day-to-day accounting activities. This would suit an organised finance professional looking to develop their experience within a broad accounting role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Processing purchase and sales ledger transactions, including reconciliations
- Supporting bank, balance sheet and control account reconciliations
- Assisting with month-end and year-end accounting procedures
- Providing general support to the wider finance team as required

Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance role
- Good understanding of fundamental accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to work
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
