Role Description
The Assistant Acoustics Consultant will support the delivery of acoustic and vibration-related projects across a range of sectors in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. This full-time hybrid role involves conducting acoustic assessments, environmental noise surveys, and vibration measurements, with a mix of office-based work and some work from home. Day-to-day tasks include data collection and analysis, assisting with the design of acoustic and vibration control solutions, and preparing technical reports and documentation. The role also includes supporting senior consultants on project planning, attending site visits, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring work complies with relevant standards and regulations.

Qualifications
- Relevant degree in acoustics, engineering, physics, environmental science, or a closely related discipline.
- Familiarity with acoustic measurement equipment and software tools (e.g., sound level meters, modeling packages) is advantageous.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to interpret standards and guidelines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary consulting environment.
- Willingness to attend site visits and travel within the region as required.
- Interest in sustainability, environmental performance, and contributing to projects that benefit people and the planet.
- Achieved, or working towards, Associate Membership of the Institute of Acoustics
