Assistant Aftersales Manager

Allen Motor Group is currently looking to employ an Assistant Aftersales Manager to join our Ford, KIA, and OMODA Jaecoo dealership in Rayleigh. You will be responsible for assisting the aftersales manager to drive the growth and profitability of the service department through effective supervision of the service team members. Focusing on maintaining customer loyalty by providing outstanding customer satisfaction.

This position is offered on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday, and 1 in 3 Saturday’s, reporting to the Aftersales Manager. The salary is up to £35,000 with an OTE of £47,000.

Previous Experience

To be considered for this position, you will need strong previous experience as an automotive service/aftersales advisor, ideally from a franchised dealership. We also look for the following skills and experience:

  • Able to work in a busy environment as part of a team
  • Fantastic organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • An ability to overcome customer issues
  • Knowledge of warranty procedures is advantageous
  • Previous management experience is very advantageous

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Service Manager in the day-to-day running of the service department, deputising in their absence.
  • Advising and assisting customers using the company systems and resources to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Advising customers on appropriate associated sales reported via the electronic vehicle health check and video.
  • Assisting with the control and coordination of courtesy vehicles, including mileage and damage check report.
  • Ensuring quotes and charges are recorded accurately and invoices are produced/paid in-line with AMG guidelines.
  • Assisting in the maintenance and control of work in progress and any administrative, service-related tasks.
  • Working in collaboration with the Sales/Service department to ensure the cohesive running of the site.
  • Managing the customer experience to achieve and maintain a high level of satisfaction, and any customer complaints are dealt with in a satisfactory manner and in line with company guidelines.
  • Ensuring adherence to GDPR guidelines, collating up-to-date customer data at every interaction.
