About The Role
As an Assistant Asset Engineer [Structures], you will:
- Support the application of asset management processes in line with functional policies to achieve financial and performance targets.
- Schedule examinations, inspections and assessments of assets, ensuring reports are reviewed and appropriate mitigation measures are progressed.
- Specify and prioritise actions arising from defects, inspections and other technical reports for inclusion in work plans.
- Undertake engineering analysis and risk assessments to support asset management activities, business cases and whole-life cost assessments.
- Monitor asset condition, capability trends and failure data to support maintenance, renewal and risk mitigation planning.
- Support the development of enhancement schemes and manage interfaces with network capability programmes.
- Determine mitigation actions required to reduce the impact of adverse weather on asset performance.
- Maintain accurate asset data and information within company systems.
- Provide engineering support and contribute to incident investigations.
- Review proposals from internal and external stakeholders to identify potential risks, conflicts or opportunities.
- Monitor project development and support design approval and certification processes.

Salary: Band 5 (£33,000-£36,000)

Your Experience And Skills
Essential Criteria
- HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Significant experience in a relevant engineering discipline.
Desirable Criteria
- Incorporated Engineer status.
- Knowledge of relevant engineering policies and standards.
- Understanding of safety management systems and risk assessment techniques.
