Assistant Bar Manager – Homewood, Bath

Homewood is a 32-bedroom boutique hotel and spa near Bath where luxury loosens its tie and nobody takes themselves too seriously.

As our Assistant Bar Manager, you’ll work closely with the Bar Manager to keep our bar running brilliantly.
You’ll be:
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the bar and leading the team during service in this 45-hour, 5-day role
- Getting hands-on – making cocktails, pouring Champagne, and serving a great G&T or two
- Looking after guests across the bar, restaurant, Dining Domes, and terrace
- Supporting, training, and developing the bar team
- Sharing your drinks knowledge and helping the team build theirs
- Creating a relaxed, fun, and memorable experience for every guest
- Helping maintain high standards of service, presentation, and cleanliness
- Supporting the Bar Manager with the smooth running of each shift
- Making sure health & safety, licensing, and allergen standards are followed

We’d love you to have:
- Previous experience in a bar supervisory or management role in hotel, cocktail bar, or busy restaurant
- A genuine passion for drinks and great hospitality
- Confidence leading and motivating a team
- Strong communication skills
- A hands-on approach – you’ll be right there with the team during service
- A great eye for detail and high standards
- Plenty of personality and a desire to make guests feel genuinely looked after
