Waldorf Astoria London - Admiralty Arch is seeking an Assistant Bar Manager - Signature Bar to join the pre-opening team for this highly anticipated new luxury hotel opening later this year.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced luxury hospitality leader to join the founding team and help shape the guest experience at this landmark hotel.
Located at the end of The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace, Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch will feature 100 elegant rooms and suites and 17,500 sqft of private residences. The hotel will open with two signature restaurants - Coreus by Clare Smyth and Café Boulud by Daniel Boulud - bringing together two of the world’s most celebrated Michelin-starred chefs. Guests will also enjoy a world-class spa, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, and a collection of grand event spaces, including a ballroom for up to 320 guests.

Responsibilities
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- As Assistant Bar Manager – Signature Bar, you will support the seamless operation of the bar, delivering an exceptional, refined beverage experience that enhances the overall guest journey. You will uphold the highest standards of service quality, efficiency, and professionalism, ensuring full compliance with licensing requirements and the expectations of an ultra-luxury hospitality environment. Maintain an effective bar service with an emphasis on high quality, efficient service.
- Supporting the delivery of a flawless bar service with a consistent focus on excellence, efficiency, and elevated guest engagement
- Ensuring guest service standards are clearly defined, meticulously implemented, continuously monitored, and enhanced where required
- Overseeing the opening, set-up, and presentation of the outlet in strict accordance with established luxury brand and operational standards
- Ensuring full compliance with licensing laws, responsible service of alcohol, and hotel policies, supporting structured and ongoing team training
- Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of all beverages, preparation methods, recipes, and presentation standards, and ensuring bar team members consistently apply this knowledge
- Upholding all health, safety, and fire regulations, ensuring team members are properly trained, informed, and compliant at all times
- Ensuring all team members maintain impeccable grooming and presentation in line with luxury uniform standards
- Assisting in evaluating team performance to ensure consistently exceptional service delivery
- Supporting the completion of annual and interim performance reviews, providing timely and constructive feedback
- Encouraging structured development through Personal Development Plans, Hilton University, and the hotel training calendar
- Managing and escalating staff absences in line with company attendance procedures, maintaining service continuity during short-notice staffing challenges
- Supporting disciplinary processes fairly and professionally, in alignment with company policy
- Ensuring clear delegation and leadership coverage are in place during management absences
- Completing all required administrative tasks accurately and in accordance with company and brand standards
- Assisting with revenue forecasting and communicating insights to the Food and Beverage office within required timelines
- Driving revenue performance through refined upselling techniques, elevated service standards, and targeted team coaching
- Partnering with Food and Beverage Cost Control to support accurate stocktakes and adherence to cost control targets
- Supporting the achievement of monthly beverage profitability and margin objectives

What are we looking for?
An Assistant Bar Manager – Signature Bar within a Hilton luxury environment demonstrates professionalism, leadership presence, and an unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction. To be successful in this role, you will bring the following attributes and capabilities:
- Supervisory experience within a bar, restaurant, or hospitality environment
- A warm, confident, and polished approach, with exceptional personal presentation
- Strong listening skills with the ability to anticipate and respond thoughtfully to discerning guest needs
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- A resilient, accountable mindset with a solutions-focused approach
- A genuine commitment to delivering consistently high levels of guest service
- The ability to perform calmly and effectively in a fast-paced operational environment
- Flexibility to adapt to a variety of operational demands and work scenarios
- A competent level of IT proficiency to support operational and administrative requirements

- Previous experience in an Assistant Bar Manager or similar leadership role within a luxury or ultra-luxury hospitality or service-led environment is highly desirable.
