About the Role
Your role will entail two sides of what we do here at the Warehouse: working as a barista and making great coffee, and helping the Supervisors run the business side of the Café.
- Setting up the café and getting it ready to open
- Ensuring all equipment is cleaned in preparation for the next use
- Ensuring The Warehouse is maintained to a very high level of cleanliness and hygiene. This includes washing equipment and clearing and wiping the workspace
- Taking orders, using a till and serving food
- Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks to specified recipe standards
- Doing laundry when it is scheduled
- Restocking fridges whenever you have spare time and see items are missing. Please do so by moving forward what was backward, and adding the restock to the back, so that the first drinks are always cold enough to satisfy customers
- Be on time, respectful of your colleagues, mindful of your communication and with the right attitude to work and transmit positive vibes to our customers
- It might sound silly, but smile. We are a space for students to feel welcomed and to feel they are at home
- Whenever you notice the Warehouse is running out of something (might it be napkins, forks, milk, drinks, etc.) you are responsible for informing the supervisors, so they are able to keep operations running smoothly
- For any urgent or unfamiliar or whatever type of situation you are not comfortable handling by yourself, please text on -------WhatsApp directly the supervisors, or use the group chat. If is urgent, feel free to make a phone call or to go to reception, surely someone will be available to assist you
- Report any issues that could affect the smooth running of the Coffee shop to the supervisor
