Assistant Bars Manager
At Kimpton Fitzroy London we are looking for an Assistant Bars Manager to join us in the heart of Russell Square.

Kimpton Fitzroy Hotel is in the heart of Bloomsbury just a 2 minute walk from Russell Square tube station where the Piccadilly line runs 24hrs a day on Fridays and Saturdays!
As an Assistant Bars Manager, you’ll be 100% you, bringing your authentic personality to everything you do; be the ultimate host, confidently leading yourself and making creative decisions that elevate every interaction; and spark joy, using every tool available to craft meaningful and memorable experiences.
Working closely with the Bars Manager, you’ll help lead our teams across Fitz’s, The Parlour, Summer Terrace, Lobby and Snug, ensuring every guest receives a warm, memorable and consistently excellent experience.

What you’ll be doing
- Support the Bars Manager with the day-to-day operation of all bar outlets, ensuring high standards of service, presentation and guest experience.
- Lead by example on the floor, motivating and supporting the team during busy services.
- Coach, train and develop team members, helping to build confidence, knowledge and exceptional service skills.
- Support the implementation of seasonal drinks menus, promotions and new bar concepts.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine and current drinks trends, sharing your passion with both guests and the team.
- Work closely with Events, Kitchen and Front of House teams to ensure smooth and seamless service.
- Support stock management, ordering, inventory and cost control, helping to achieve strong commercial performance.
- Assist with maintaining service standards and ensuring the bars consistently meet luxury hospitality expectations.
- Build positive relationships with guests, suppliers and colleagues, helping to create a welcoming and engaging bar environment.
- Step up and take responsibility for the operation in the Bars Manager’s absence.

What we’re looking for
- Previous supervisory or management experience within a high-end bar, restaurant or luxury hotel environment.
- A genuine passion for drinks, cocktails and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails and current bar trends.
- A confident and hands-on leader who enjoys developing and supporting others.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to remain calm and focused in a busy environment.
- Commercial awareness, with an understanding of stock control, cost management and profitability.
- A proactive and positive approach, with a real desire to learn, develop and progress your career.
- Experience working to LQA or Forbes standards would be advantageous.
