About the role

Are you ready for a new challenge? Are you wanting to take the next step in your career? If the answer is yes then we are pleased to say we are looking for an Assistant Branch Manager at our Marske branch.

This is an exciting development opportunity for a proactive individual to support the Branch Manager in the day-to-day running of the branch. It is also the ideal position if you are an ambitious individual looking to develop and progress further in the company management structure.

The successful individual will be able to deliver high standards of work within a fast-paced environment. You will need to have expert product knowledge ideally gained from within the Builders Merchant sector with a desire to help support and develop the team, promoting a culture of high performance, achieving and exceeding branch sales targets.

Key skills and responsibilities include:

  • Strong communication skills in order to build and develop customer relationships
  • Deliver exceptional levels of customer service in a customer facing role
  • Ability to lead and develop a team
  • People management skills
  • Knowledge of key H&S standards
  • Good understanding of stock processes
  • A highly motivated individual to help inspire and coach a team to deliver high standards and drive branch sales
  • Ability to be adaptable and resilient to ever-changing situations on a daily basis
  • Team player who works well under pressure

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 07.30am to 5.00pm plus alternate Saturdays 08.00am to 12.00pm.
