Assistant Branch Manager - Totnes

Jewson, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager passionate about providing excellent service.

About the Role

Hours:
7:00am - 16:30pm or 7:30am to 17:00pm Monday to Friday and every other Saturday morning 8am-12pm.

Location:
Jewson, Babbage Rd, Totnes, TQ9 5JA

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as first line support to the Branch Manager to lead and support the team to deliver success.
  • Get to know our product lines and services to maximize customer interactions.
  • Develop great relationships with new and existing customers, understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions.
  • Get to know the local market to support plans for sales growth.
  • Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organize delivery times, and keep customers updated throughout their journey.
  • Maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts.
  • Lead your team to prioritize Health & Safety and demonstrate safe working practices.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven background in Sales with a strong track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong communication skills to provide great customer service.
  • A passion for customer service.
  • An ability to build, develop, and maintain relationships.
  • Industry experience/knowledge of building materials would be advantageous.
