Overview

Bandai Namco is seeking an organised, analytical, and proactive Assistant Brand Manager to support the continued growth of the Bandai Hobby business in the UK market. This is a broad commercial role combining brand management, product planning, sales analysis, project coordination, and operational support.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and retail partners to support product launches, analyse sales performance, manage product information and allocations, coordinate retailer activity, and contribute to brand marketing initiatives and events.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Candidates May Come From Backgrounds Such As

  • Assistant Brand Management
  • Product Management / Product Marketing
  • Category Management
  • Trade Marketing
  • Commercial or Sales Support
  • Retail Buying / Merchandising
  • Consumer Products, Toys, Collectibles, Licensing or FMCG

Previous experience in a relevant commercial, brand, marketing, product, or retail environment is preferred, although candidates with strong transferable skills and a demonstrable passion for learning will also be considered.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Advanced Excel capability, including:
    • Data analysis
    • Lookups and formulas
    • PivotTables
  • Strong PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Ability to analyse commercial data, sales reports, and inventory performance
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proactive approach with a willingness to take ownership and follow tasks through to completion

Preferred

  • Experience in brand management, product management, marketing, retail, licensing, toys, collectibles, or consumer products
  • Experience supporting events, exhibitions, retail activations, or consumer-facing projects
  • Interest in Gundam, Gunpla, anime, model kits, or Japanese pop culture
  • Japanese language capability (advantageous but not essential)
