12 Month Fixed-Term Contract

The Anchor Butter team at Arla Foods are looking to recruit an Assistant Brand Manager on a 12 month fixed-term contract to join our BSM (Butter & Spreads) Category and Brand Team at our Head Office in Leeds.

Within this role, you’ll help drive growth for our well-loved Anchor Butter brand. As the #2 Butter brand in the UK, found in 22% of the nation’s fridges, and generating £133m in value sales, this is a great opportunity to shape a truly heritage brand that has been winning since 1886.

How you will make an impact

As Assistant Brand Manager reporting into the Senior Brand Manager, you’ll support the local execution of the category and BSM brand strategies, whilst working closely with other Brand Managers. You’ll primarily support the Anchor Butter brand, but also offer autonomy and leadership of our Yeo Valley Butter and Arla LactoFREE Butter portfolios.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the delivery of the 1-3 year brand plans across Anchor Butter, Yeo Valley Butter and Arla LactoFREE Butter, driving portfolio growth and performance in partnership with Business Managers and Brand Managers.
  • Leading and supporting key brand projects, including innovation launches, seasonal campaigns, on-pack promotions and packaging changes.
  • Monitoring brand and category performance using market and consumer data, including Nielsen and Kantar insights, to inform decision-making and identify growth opportunities.
  • Managing brand budgets, communications and selected brand responsibilities, ensuring the effective delivery of activity and a strong return on investment.
  • Supporting the execution of £6m brand campaigns across video, social media, PR, outdoor advertising and digital channels, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
