The reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in the built environment is an urgent challenge and an important priority for the service; using your expertise you’ll be expected to make a valuable contribution to this.
Responsibilities
As an Assistant Building Control Surveyor, you will be offered training and supervision, and will help the team of technical surveyors providing guidance and advice on all building control matters. Under supervision, you will be involved in a wide range of projects including residential, commercial and mixed-use schemes. We have a number of partnership working agreements that you will be involved with, so it is important to develop effective client relationships.

If you are already an experienced 2A Building Control Surveyor, you will be one of a team of technical surveyors providing guidance and advice on all building control matters. From your first day of employment, you will undertake a wide range of projects including residential, commercial and mixed-use schemes. This also includes dealing with dangerous structures and attending other emergency incidents, as well as dealing with a number of partnership working schemes that require effective client relationships.
