Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive person to work with the building manager and existing team on the day-to-day operational management of the prestigious Port of Liverpool Building which operates as multi let offices, offering modern workspace in a historical building for a diverse range of tenants.
Reporting to the building manager, you will ensure the building is safe, compliant, well maintained, and delivers an exceptional experience for tenants, and visitors.
This varied role combines facilities management, health and safety compliance, contractor management, tenant liaison, and team leadership. The successful candidate will be highly organised, customer focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining the highest standards of building operations and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the building manager with managing the day-to-day operation, maintenance, safety, and presentation of the building.
- Lead and support front-of-house, reception, security, and cleaning teams.
- Act as the primary point of contact for tenants, responding to enquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
- Oversee contractors, service providers, and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance and high service standards.
- Manage health and safety, compliance documentation, risk assessments, fire safety procedures, and staff training.
- Conduct regular building inspections and coordinate planned and reactive maintenance works.
- Support conference and meeting room services, tenant fitouts, and relocations.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all operational and compliance documentation are kept up to date.
- Assist the building manager as required.
Key Requirements
- Proven facilities management experience, preferably within a multi-let office environment.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, compliance requirements, and health and safety legislation.
- IOSH and/or NEBOSH certification preferred.
- Facilities Management qualification (IWFM Level 3 or above) desirable.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience within a historic or heritage building environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
